Our Story
- Career: bernell is a pseudonymous artist based in Los Angeles, California who doesn't personally subscribe to any one school, he is associated with the American Abstract Expressionist movement of modern art. Originally from the midwest, he moved to California with his family in the late 1990s. His youthful period of artistic production dealt primarily with urban scenery. In response to his travels and love of vacation life his art entered a transitional phase during the 2020s, where he experimented with abstract and multimedia themes and Surrealism to express joy. Toward the end of the decade, Rothko painted canvases with regions of pure color which he further abstracted into rectangular color forms, the idiom he would he is currently focused on.
